Did You Overly Discipline Your Kids Because Of Being A Witness?

i knew a lot of jws that "beat" their child with the "rod" as a preferred "scriptural" form of punishment.

corporal punishment was the norm while growing up......were you given the "rod" often?

did you overly discipline your children??

I don't have any kids to "beat" yet.;) But, I have thought about this quite a few times and I know meny kids that I was brought up with as a Dub who's mom and dad took spanking there kids way overboard... I always felt bad for them kid's...

Leaving Florida and Moving to Ontario!

it's official, we will be moving to the toronto area within the next month or so.

my husband was offered an incredible job in canada so we flew up here to check it out.

we totally fell in love with the place.

What Do You Do for Work?

so, i have a good job, but i hate my boss.

it's gotten to the point (beyond the point) that i just need to get outta here.

it's not even worth going to hr about because she makes sure you get fired if you do that, but not before dragging your reputation through the mud.

I'm a carpenter and I love it. I do custom woodworking in vary vary high end homes around the 20 million doller range. I specialize in making all the curved wood peaces for there homes. Such as the curved hand rails for the grand stairways and all the curved trim around the house... Chad...

Drinking (booze) among "Gods" people......More then ever now?

looking back its amazing how many alcoholics i knew in the "borg"...................... there are 3 elders in my old hall alone........ that are full blown alcoholics...................... when, have you ever heard of someone.......anyone.......let alone and elder............ getting "dfed" for drinking too much?.

when i was at bethel........you wouldn't believe how much drinking was done there!.

there are stories of the old days ( russell & the judge)..where they would find guys passed out in front of the 124 building on sunday mornings........no big deal, just dust them off.............. and bring in.

The more I think about it.##### The more and more JWs, I can name ("DRINK WAY!!!' more then thay should) keep coming to mind.######### And I can name alot just like meny of you can.################ As mater a fact how meny Dub's do you know that don't drink at all???############################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################### This site sucks posting from a MAC...
